Building on 2025, we look forward to 2026.

2025 was an outstanding year for MEA, showcasing the breadth of our expertise, the strength of our client relationships and the continued growth of our business across the UK. With major project completions, new appointments and a strong pipeline into 2026, the year reflects MEA’s commitment to quality, collaboration and delivery excellence.

MEA’s London office celebrated a highly successful year, completing commercial projects including The Chocolate Factory for Workspace and an office refurbishment at Ganton Street for Shaftesbury Capital. These successful deliveries strengthened our long-standing relationship with Shaftesbury Capital and led to a number of prestigious new commissions.

We are delighted to have been awarded new projects for Shaftesbury Capital including the transformation of a current office space into a flagship retail unit on Broadwick Street, along with the refurbishment of a three storey food and beverage venue at Kingly Court and a variety of other office refurbishment schemes. The year also marked an exciting milestone with the relocation of our London office within Southwark, positioning the team for continued growth, including the expansion of our London residential portfolio in 2026.

The Bath office delivered a strong programme of conservation and prime residential work throughout 2025. A highlight of the year was the completion of 20 Sion Hill, a beautifully executed refurbishment of a Grade II listed early 19th-century villa, delivered in collaboration with Bath Conservation Architects.

Works commenced at Chelscombe Farm in the shadow of Beckford tower, involving the renovation and new build extension of old dairy barns as further accommodation to the Grade II Listed farmhouse which will be refurbished this year. Progress also continued at Eyeston’s Piece, a substantial new-build private prime residential scheme in the Cotswolds, with completion anticipated around Easter 2026.

Our Bath team were also thrilled to have an exceptional evening of success at the Bath Property Awards 2025, securing two prestigious wins and receiving three additional finalist nominations across multiple categories.

The team also secured several new projects with Avon & Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust, completing pre-contract preparation works during 2025 ahead of site starts next year. Alongside this, a diverse range of new commissions, including prime residential new builds, a church extension, almshouses and a boatyard workshop that we have been busy working on in the pre-contract phase; preparing estimates and advising on procurement and preparing tender documentation that we will be looking forward to starting on site next year.

The Surrey office continued to demonstrate MEA’s strength across education, conservation, residential and commercial sectors. In education, the team completed The Loft for Learning at Guildford County School, delivering a new ASD unit as part of Surrey County Council’s SEND Capital Programme. Major expansion projects were completed at New Barn School for Treehouse Educare Limited and we returned to Three Rivers Academy for The Howard Partnership Trust, to complete SEND and Sixth Form remodelling together with a Trust training facility. Further successes included the completion of the Gill Building extension at Godalming College, creating new shared learning spaces and the Prep School extension at Tormead School in Guildford.

In conservation, the team delivered the refurbishment and alteration of Stirrups, a Grade II listed building* for Mapledurham Estate, alongside multiple commissions for Cowdray Estate, including the commencement of the redevelopment of their Works Yard to deliver 20 new homes, five of which are Passivhaus.

Across the private residential sector, MEA completed numerous high-quality homes throughout the Surrey Hills, Hampshire and West Sussex. Public sector delivery continued at Kerswell Close for the London Borough of Haringey, where works are progressing to provide much-needed affordable housing.

Commercially, the Surrey team completed the refurbishment of Margaret Street, Fitzrovia, delivering high-quality CAT A office space with roof terraces for Joint London Holdings. Retail delivery remained strong through MEA’s framework with Value Retail at Bicester Village, alongside nationwide delivery of fuel filling stations for Motor Fuel Group. The fund monitoring team continued to support Principality Commercial, while MEA’s commitment to community and sport was reflected through ongoing projects at Headley Sports Pavilion, Rowledge Village Hall, new padel courts for Powerleague, and the completion of the final phase at Basingstoke Golf Club, ahead of its 2026 opening.

Last year reinforced our reputation for delivering high-quality outcomes across commercial, residential, education, heritage and public sector projects, while continuing to grow our teams and invest in our future. We look forward to building on this momentum in 2026, expanding our residential and commercial workstreams, progressing major schemes on site, and continuing to provide trusted, collaborative construction consultancy services to our clients across the UK.
