MEA is providing Quantity Surveying services to Haringey Council on their Woodridings Court project which will provide 33 new affordable homes for social rent.
The scheme has been designed by Collado Collins Architects and comprises four new blocks constructed to the rear of the existing building providing a mix of 1B, 2B, 3B, and fully accessible dual-aspect apartments.
Externally the scheme includes hard and soft landscaping and has been designed to include wheelchair accessible car parking, bicycle storage, and communal landscaped gardens.
The development will deliver Net Zero Carbon homes and will be built using predominantly off-site volumetric fabrication. The project includes a series of detailed and complex interfaces and improvements to the existing building. Off-site fabrication will be utilised to minimise the construction period on site and mitigate disruption to the existing residents.
The development forms an important part of Haringey Council’s commitment to address the need for affordable housing in the borough whilst contributing to the government targets for net zero by 2050.
This development has been submitted for planning with a decision due in December 2022.
