MEA are delighted to be continuing our work at Stowe School on the construction of The Day Court which enables Stowe to increase their offering for day pupils in order to encourage more local parents to feel they could afford places.
The Day Court will be formed by two new Day Houses, Cheshire for girls and Winton for boys, and each House will have 75 pupils aged 13 to 18 years old. From 2019, the Houses will take pupils into the Third Form, Fourth Form and Lower Sixth and will offer parents easy drop off and pick up zones next to the Houses.
Designed by Roberts Limbrick Architects, each Day House will have designated spaces for each year group, with study spaces for every pupil and storage areas for books and sports equipment. The Houses will have changing and shower facilities. Pupils will join the rest of the school for meals in the State Dining Room, but they will also have in-house kitchen facilities for light snacks and refreshments.
Each House will have a central Common Room at their heart where pupils will gather for registration, notices and social time.
