We are delighted for our clients, Three Rivers Academy, on the outcome of their first Ofsted report since moving to their new building in February 2018. The inspection was the first opportunity for Ofsted to recognise the significant progress which the school has made and judged Three Rivers Academy to now be a ‘Good’ school in all areas. This is a momentous turnaround for the school which was rated as ‘Inadequate’ in June 2016, when it was known as Rydens Enterprise School and College.
Amongst the many positive comments from the inspectors, the report highlights include…
– Pupils have positive attitudes to learning and are eager to do well. They are proud of their school, smart in their uniform, and are respectful of their impressive school building.
– During breaks and lunchtimes, they take advantage of the excellent facilities the building provides to chat happily, play outside or use the library.
– Pupils mostly behave well and are courteous and polite to each other and to visitors. The school is a calm and orderly place in which pupils can learn.
– There is a strong culture of safeguarding in the school. Pupils say that they feel safe in school.
The complex self-funded strategy for this £42m project was implemented by our specialist consultancy, Building Schools for Nothing, and the architecture was provided by Scott Brownrigg.
We are privileged to have played our part in the transformation of Three Rivers Academy and look forward to seeing them continue to go from strength to strength.
