Work has now started on the Farnham Heath End School expansion project. This secondary school located in Farnham, Surrey is part of the Weydon Multi Academy Trust and aims to create an additional 30 places per year, resulting in an increase of 150 students across the school. Designed by WSW Consultancy the construction of a part single, part two storey building will accommodate a new sports hall, eight new classrooms and associated facilities.
The new sports hall includes changing rooms, reception and office, hall storage and a plant room. Four of the new classrooms will be on the ground floor either side of a corridor and unisex pupil toilets. On the first floor there will be a further four classrooms together with the Learning Resource Centre (LRC), LRC office and staff office, which will be accessible via two staircases and a disabled passenger lift. The landing on the first floor will also offer a viewing gallery for the hall.
Construction is scheduled to be complete in time for the start of the 2019 academic year, and will result in fantastic new facilities for students, staff and the wider community.
