Three Rivers Academy SEND and Sixth Form

MEA acted as Employer’s Agent, Project Manager and Quantity Surveyor for The Howard Partnership Trust on the refurbishment and remodelling of key facilities at Three Rivers Academy.

Having previously delivered the new-build Three Rivers Academy as part of the MEA/Building Schools for the Future programme approximately 7–8 years earlier, our team was well placed to support the Trust in enhancing and adapting the existing estate to meet evolving educational needs.

This project focused on the refurbishment and selective remodelling of the existing sixth form and Special Educational Needs (SEN) areas. The works delivered an expanded and improved SEN provision, a dedicated training facility for Trust staff, and a revitalised sixth form study environment designed to better support students’ independent learning and collaboration.

Through careful planning and close stakeholder engagement, MEA ensured the project was delivered efficiently within a live school environment, minimising disruption while achieving a high-quality outcome aligned with the Trust’s long-term vision.
