We are delighted to learn that our clients Cranleigh RDA have been announced as double award winners at the Waverley Design Awards 2018/19. In addition to picking up the ‘Community’ award, they were also given a special award for ‘Interior Quality’.
Casi’s Farm is the home of Cranleigh Riding for the Disabled Association which offers therapeutic riding to people with special needs to benefit their health and wellbeing. Riding offers a degree of independence that many disabled people cannot have in their daily life and helps them develop self-esteem, confidence and independence. The recent project involved rebuilding the social area and stable block, the newly improved facilities offer a lighter, brighter environment and more space for riding.
The 12th Waverley Design Awards ceremony took place on 14th March and celebrates the good design in planning, architecture, sustainable development and landscaping. The awards scheme was introduced in 1995 to encourage interest in the quality of the built and natural environment of Waverley borough and to promote an awareness of the need for high standards in all forms of design. This includes planning, architecture, sustainable development and landscaping.
Additionally, another MEA client was Highly Commended in the ‘Education Building’ category for the new Stepping Stones School Building at Undershaw in Hindhead.
