She did it!
Lesley, our fearless (or maybe just mad!) Finance Manager took part in the Guildford Cathedral Abseil Challenge to help raise much needed funds for our valued client Challengers.
On Saturday, 12th June Lesley climbed the 249 steps to the top of the cathedral before bravely abseiling down the iconic 160ft high building.
Lesley has so far raised an impressive £350 and the event in total has raised over £28,000 – enough to provide 158 fun filled days at one of their play centres.
Guildford based charity Challengers are passionate about breaking down the barriers to play for over 1,400 disabled children and young people across their Pre-school, Play, Youth and Young adult schemes. Their schemes allow disabled children and young people the opportunity to play with their friends, have fun and most importantly challenge their impairments.
Challengers are a long-standing MEA client and we were originally involved in the construction of the Guildford play centre over 5 years ago, and more recently following a fire we provided project management and quantity surveying services to the building works to repair the damage to the play floor and refurbish the centre back to its colourful and fun environment.
