The Ridgeway School in Farnham is renowned for its exceptional education and care for students aged 2-19 with severe and profound multi-learning disabilities, as well as additional and complex needs.
We are delighted to have been appointed Employer’s Agent and Quantity Surveyor on the Playground Project, a transformative initiative that will enhance the learning and recreational environment for the students at the school.
Project Overview
The Ridgeway Playground Project involves the remodelling of the existing tarmacked playground and enhancements designed to create an engaging, safe, and accessible outdoor space that caters to the diverse needs of the students.
Key elements of the project include:
• Covered Teaching Area that will serve as an outdoor classroom.
• Theatre Stage providing a dedicated area for performances and interactive activities.
• Covered Pavilion for structured lessons and free play.
• Two Individual Learning spaces designed for one-on-one instruction or small group activities.
• A specially designed wheelchair roundabout.
• Walls with Colourful Tunnels to provide an interactive feature that encourages exploration.
• A dedicated Football and running space.
Work commenced on-site at the end of May and is scheduled for completion for use in the Autumn term, stay posted for updates.
