Woodridings Court At night

MEA are currently providing Quantity Surveying services to Haringey Council on the Woodridings Court project.  The scheme will provide 33 new energy efficient, much needed affordable homes.

The scheme, designed by Collado Collins Architects, is to be located directly behind an existing building of affordable housing at the site using modular construction for the new units.

The development is configured to add four rear blocks. Comprising 33 dual aspect apartments including a mix of 1 bed, 2 bed and 3 bed units, arranged over 4 and 5 storeys.

Externally, hard and soft landscaping and has been designed to include blue badge car parking, bicycle storage and communal landscaped gardens.

This Net Zero Carbon project incorporates a fabric and heating strategy to address ongoing heating costs for future occupants.  Utilising passivhaus standards to respond to the noise impacts of the nearby railway and provide thermal efficiency to the building, natural roofs to help with biodiversity in the local area, PV panels and decentralised heating via individual local air source heat pumps to generate sustainable energy.

This is part of Haringey Council’s commitment to address the need for affordable housing whilst meeting the government targets for net zero by 2050.
