Private Client
MEA delivered Quantity Surveying services on a new, luxurious four-bedroom family home, nestled within 4 acres of the Surrey Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The residence boasts panoramic views across the South Downs.
The house and swimming pool are efficiently heated using a 28kw ground source heat pump system, complemented by a rooftop photovoltaic array with battery storage. With an outstanding EPC energy rating of A, tallying 120 points, the building surpasses Part L of the building regulations by approximately 20%, ensuring superior insulation. By exporting energy, the house actively contributes to removing up to 10 tonnes of carbon annually from the national grid’s supply.
The exterior of the house is finished in timber and stone-clad with a sedum roof, along with strategically placed bird and bat boxes.
Landscape work included the creation of two ponds, planting of dozens of new trees as well as around 2 acres of wildflower meadow.
