The new four storey 13,000/sq.ft. house is of traditional construction with the basement containing the wine cellar, plant room and storage space, the ground floor consisting of the Principal and living areas and the two upper levels accommodating the 8 bedrooms and their ensuite bathrooms. The external fabric is generally of handmade brick and stone facades and handmade clay tile and copper roof coverings.
The internal fitting out of the house comprised a multitude of stone and timber floor and wall finishes with fibrous plaster enhancements; a solid stone feature staircase and a full range of bespoke joinery fittings throughout were also incorporated; a modern and comprehensive M&E services scheme was discreetly installed to minimise the impact on the architectural design.
